Im not certain on his age, he’s just about 12 inches in length, is it normal for him to be burrowing for 1-2 days at a time at this age?
I have a very detailed list of do’s and dont’s when it comes to diet, but I’m more curious to hear about everyone’s tegu’s favorite meals especially any fruits or vegetables. I haven’t had Kiwi long but he loves hornworms. Haven’t had much success yet with fruit and vegetation.
I brought home my Tegu just about a week ago. He is between 10-12 inches. He is currently in a 4 ft enclosure. Basking area temp is right around 110 cool side is around 75-80 during the day. I have supplied multiple hides. I have struggled to maintain humidity above 70% i saturate the substrate...
This is Kiwi, picked him up about a week ago and I am super excited! I have been doing research for quite some time, but of course now that I have a tegu I have all sorts of questions in regards to behavior and challenges that have already come up.
