    Your largest Tegu?

Here's my red, D'Argo. He's 10 years old this year, and this picture was taken about 3 or 4 years ago. He was 57" and about 28 pounds. I haven't measured or weighed him in a while though. I'm 6'2", so that should give you some scale. My B&W male is 4' and about 18 pounds, my RedXB&W female...

started a new post about peoples delivery of their extremes (:

Elim has made it home! Finally! I tell you, it's been many years since I've had a hatchling, I've forgotten how small they are! He didn't waste anytime eating either. 5 minutes out of the shipping box and he is already downing a small pinkie :)

    Eating after egg laying?

She finally did eat a medium rat. She's the pickiest Tegu I've ever seen (although, she's only my third one). She doesn't seem to like much, although I haven't introduced her to the whole gauntlet of foods they can eat. Fruit is pretty much out and most of the time she even snubs her nose at...

    Eating after egg laying?

I have a female that just laid her first clutch of eggs (I've had her for about 4 years now) and I was wondering how long after laying her eggs will she start feeding again?

Wow another great hit from Animal Planet

I actually watched this whole episode when it was on, just because I saw the promo for it having Tegu's on it. They did portray tegu's in a negative way, not just that they are invasive, but they are highly dangerous. Which, that is true if you provoke them. It always amazes me how afraid...
