It might take 2 weeks for them to settle in. I know when I first got my tegu it took that long for it to get used to me just coming up to my enclosure.
Awesome looking enclosure. Just a heads up though once they get bigger they like to trash everything haha. I just have substrate and a hiding spot for mines right now.
Well I've only had my tegu for 7 months but I feed it daily. Only once a day because I find that mine isn't interested in a second feeding. From what I've read once they get to an adult size they only need to be feed 2-3 times a week.
Only thing I can say is even if the parents are high whites there is no guarantee the babies will grow up to look like their parents. I could understand if you bought yearlings and was told they were high whites and what you got weren't. Because at that age you would be able to tell what...
My blue tegu is 36inches in a 4x2x2 also with about 4inch substrate. I'm using a 45 watt flood light. Which puts the basking temp at 103. I may go up the 55 watt so I can get the basking temp to 110.
