I have an awesome blue male. I am considering selling him. I will let get some pics and we can go from there.

    First Snake Bite Today

Why do you feed in a separate enclosure? Snakes aren't like tegus, and their digestive systems are completely different. It may behoove you to feed the snake in their enclosure, so as not to associate handling with feeding (opposite of tegus). Also, you can then let them chill with their meal...

    Timo at his finest...

Maybe it's not the greatest picture. In fact, it's not. That is also on Timo.... If he wants top dollar for an animal that supposedly a local guy is already offering the $1000 (yeah, right!) then he should try and accommodate a potential buyer. He is just too damn sloppy, that is a terrible...

    Dumb Question

Hey, you mentioned monitoring the temps till July when he arrives..... That's a long time to be monitoring temps. You are going to decrease the life expectancy of your bulbs! Just set it up and check it for a couple of days and make adjustments where necessary. Just an idea...

A warning for all multy tegu cages..

That bites. Hard. But all living creatures are different. It's quite possible that you have a psycho type of tegu on your hands. IDK, just a thought out loud...

    Bearded Dragon vs. B/W Tegu

It seems to me that they are quite different animals. One needs more space, handling, and higher humidity(tegu obviously). The other needs less space and a totally different environment. Their feed requirements are completely different. Basically, your question is good, but because of the...

    Timo at his finest...

I talked to Timo about a month ago about her, as I was trying to purchase her. However, he told me a local fellow was offering $1000, and once she woke up he was going to advertise her on KS for "a lot more". I was hoping to breed her to my blue tegu, in hopes of making more high whites, as...

    feeding problem =(

I agree with the intimidation factor. If the snake is refusing the larger prey items, then I would simply put him back on the prey items that he is feeding on without problems. He will be better off eating two of the fuzzys, then not eating one hopper.

    new thayeri.. with an issue..

Hi. My first thought is that it is probably a musk gland that is blocked. However, the bulge appears to be on one side of the animal, so I am not quite sure. I have a female zonata agalma that also has a blocked musk gland, and so far she is doing fine. The vet can do surgery to fix the...

Blizard pics, and I don't mean snow, lol!!

Hi. Are those extreme giants or reg. black & whites? They are very good looking. Is it possible to get on a waiting list for that pairing, or better yet do you have anything similar in the works now? I love the high white coloring.

Pair of tegus in north cali, judging interest.

Hi. I live in the bay area, and I am up in the Santa Rosa area quite frequently. If you can let me know more about them I may be interested, and I can obviously do a pick up. My main concern about them is the duration of time without uvb. Thanks.

Sealing pine? theres gotta be a way

Pine can be sealed as any other type of wood, except redwood. You should check out a local paint store (a high end one that contractors would use) and ask them what is available. Going to a Home-Depot type of store may suffice, but it depends on what is available there.

    BLUE TEGU available....

That sucks! One thing to lose an amazing animal. Another to lose upon arrival. Were there any problems or snags with the shipping courier? Who was the courier? And lastly, what is KSTAR saying about it? Curious....

    colubrid bin size

I keep about 40 breeders. Various types of kingsnakes and milksnakes. I use 32qt bins, and they are adequate even for my adult hondurans. The first tubs dims are probably ok, but you don't need them quite so tall. I did not see the second tubs dims only the capacity. I use sterilite tubs...
