I have about 40 5 to 7 oz packs of ground venison. It was from last season fall 2012/winter 2013, I thought my Tegus would eat more than they did. I feed it to my Tegus at least 3 or 4 days a week. Which plywood should I use for my custom cage?
From an earlier post I made.......... I use oak 3/4 4 by 8 foot sheets. Its expensive ,45 dollars a sheet, but I plan on never building them again. The Oak is really nice and stains well. You will not need to use supports if you use 3/4. I use one sheet for the top one for the bottom and rip 2...- Orion

I use Oak so I can stain the outside, I run 3 coats of Dry Lok on the inside to keep the humidity in.- Orion

Orangey markings on Black and White !?
It will fade and completely disappear in a couple months. Alot of Tegus, but not all, go through that at about a year and a half.- Orion

Tegus require high humidity. I would not use it. It tends to break down after a while and once the moisture gets behind the coating the particle board sucks up the water and ruins the board. Makes for nice looking cages, but I feel the durability may not live up to a Tegus environment and...- Orion

fresh drylock question
I put 2 or 3 coats of drylok or all inside surfaces. You will not need to use silicone. The drylok waterproofs the cage.- Orion
