hi,
back with another problem
so, i've been feeding my tegu ground turkey, gizzards, beef hearts, eggs, crickets, and dubia roaches. i've also been feeding her some fruits (water melon, grapes, etc). last thing she ate was two days ago [ground turkey + calcium] and for the past two days i've noticed that her abdomen looks bloated. its alarming becuz she doesnt "feel" right either--she almost feels like a balloon. i've been giving her warm soaks, hoping the stool would pass, but she hasnt pooped.
basking temp is 102-108; ambient is 83-87 and cool side is 74. idk what the humidity is becuz i dont have a hygrometer, but i have a hide that is basically a cardboard box (replaced every week) with some wet rags in them (that i change daily).
idk if she really is impacted, but her stomach just feels too "balloony". anyways, im going to take her to a nearby clinic tomorrow just to see if i can get an x-ray. unfortunately, my this clinic doesnt have any herp specialist, so most likely i'll be making two trips (the second one will be a check-up from a herp specialist...if i can find one).
anybody know herp vets near or around snohomish county in wa?
edit: not sure if this is relevant info, but she is rather young (subadult?). about 24-26 inches from snout to tail and about 2-3 lbs. thanks
also, tips on anything else i can do until i get her to a vet? thanks again.
