So my Tegu has been having some inconsistent feeding habits. He's only about 2 and a half months old and we've had him a little over a month. He isn't very interested in the food we put in his cage every day unless there's quail egg and he will focus on only eating that. We have tried everything like pinky mice, salmon, chicken, veggie burger, fruits, greens, vegetables, mealworms, dried crickets and scrambled eggs. Sometimes he will eat some of the scrambled eggs or a little chicken or pinky but it's not consistent. He seems very picky about what he eats almost like he doesn't like to eat the same thing every day.
He is still growing and looks healthy so we know he must be eating but is just not interested in everything we give him. Any suggestions on what to do?? We are going to try to blend a few of these things together with a quail egg and chicken broth and see if that helps him be more interested in everything but we would love other ideas and personal experiences with picky tegus. Thanks
