My young Tegu (baby received in November) comes out at odd times. He burrows every day and usually is out in the afternoon (after 3 PM). Occasionally he is out in the morning and then burrowed for the afternoon.
My understanding is that Tegus are diurnal, does this mean they are active on a similar schedule to humans? Or is it typical for a Tegu's active time to vary greatly each day?
How many hours should a Tegu be active, and what times of day are typical for them?
