Dont know for sure the history of this gu, but it very well could be the one you are thinking of. It came out of Florida, the seller was not the original owner, and no one knows who bred the thing. But the colors are amazing!! I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box..certainly wasnt expecting something THAT blue!!

Yea it looks a lot like it. I wanted to buy it so bad. o_o
If you ever need to rehome it let me know, LOL.
The plan is to keep this tegu "for ever and ever" but I will certainly tell everyone if that changes for some reason. Life being what it is these days I guess its pretty hard to be completely sure of the future.
I've been noticing a large variation in blue tegu's, and was wondering if perhaps everyone who has one (or two, or three *grin*) might take pictures of their heads, and other "interesting" characteristics and post them up. Perhaps I should start a new thread for it? I have 2 blues now, and they are vastly different from each other. I thought it would be cool to see the differences between all of ours..whatcha think?
That would be pretty cool. I know most blues I see look the same aside from varying amounts of white on the body, but the shade of blue is normally the same. I've never seen a blue tegu that blue before, not even close. Normally it just looks like lots of white.
Wow. This is one amazing looking blue Tegu . That powder blue color is very hard to find. The only breeder ( well he used to breed them ) that I know that had the powder blue ones is Ron St. Pierre ( link below ). I have two blue/red hybrid Tegus but only the female has the very powder blue color on her.
This is our Schatzi.

Not sure if you were asking ME for more photos, but incase you were, here's a better side shot of the new blue gu. Not underweight, but very slim and looong (35 inches!)
and since people will undoubtably be saying they dont see a burnt nose (which in this photo I dont see either) the next picture is to show that there is indeed a dark nose. Its not as wonderful as some other lovely blues out there, but it IS still present and accounted for *grin*
I dont know if the new gu is a hybrid of some kind or not, although certainly the markings are different from what I term my "normal" blue tegu ( pictured below) My "normal" blue came from Underground Reptiles at the Daytona show in 09 and I dont really know anything further about her except that she keeps getting lighter and lighter. (The color difference on her head is where she just shed)
I could be wrong but yours looks like a male to me. If you ever want to sell him let me know. I would love to breed him with my girl ( picture above ). I LOVE the powder blue color. I wish there would be more of them out there. If your Tegu would be a hybrid you would be able to see some purple/redish color on him. Can you post some up close photos of his back ? Here are some photos of Schatzi. The first ones are with the flash of ( that's when you can see more of the powder blue color ). The other ones are with the flash on ( there you can see the purple/red color come out ). I forgot to post the links in my las post to Ron St. Pierre's site.
