Fungal infections- have your tegus had them and did you sucessfully treat them?

Hey everyone. My lil dude is a blue male who is a little over 2 years old. I found he has a fungal infection and per my vets recommendation went nuclear on prevention/treatment since I know how serious they can get. We're talking tossing all of his substrate, deep cleaning his enclosure with a toothbrush and continued cleaning with chlorohexidine, daily soaks and topical medication, newspaper flooring, obsessively cleaning entire house, etc.
What I'm curious about is if anyone else has experienced a fungal infection in their tegu and if they were able to successfully treat it? Sifting through various forums I've found stories about how grim the prospects are especially for beardies but haven't seen much about tegus
