Hello, I have a Savannah monitor and the humidity is 80 to 90 percent in the cage. I see plenty of people that will tell you the negative side effects of not keeping the humidity up but I've never seen anyone say anything about having it too humid in the cage. Is really high humidity bad for savs?

Thanks

I havent kept savannahs, but I have done a lot of research on their care. I believe ambient is suppose to be 60%, as low as 0% on the basking area, and as high as 100% in their burrows. Too high humidity all the time can cause RI's in a lot of reptiles, so I'd tried to lower it if possible.

Always make sure there is adequate air flow. Stuffy stale conditions can be lethal.
