Hello! I am looking to get my first tegu and have a couple questions about setting up my home for a happy healthy lifestyle. What are some good setups for them to have? Also I have vinyl plank flooring in my home, I understand they are some pretty sharp claws .. should I be concerned with the floors getting scratched and invest in some rugs?

Do you plan on having an enclosure or just trying to free roam all the time?

Personally I would say have an appropriate enclosure for when your not home but let it out when your around

Rugs could act as snares for nails and toes. Free roaming can work successfully. Critical to be aware of all the threats.

hello........ claws are sharp but I shouldn't think there would be too much of a danger for them tearing your floor up.
