How long to tegus hibernate?

It varies depending on the age and the individual. Daylength dictates when to begin, and temp at some level takes over. It will also be affected by latitude, where it must be longer in northern latitudes. Atcsome level, hibernation is necessary for linterm health and wellbeing of what is a temperate animal.
