How old is my Tegu?

I got my Tegu about a month ago from a reptile show. The seller told me it was a she (turned out to be a he) and that it was 1 - 1 1/2 years old.
Judging by what I’m reading online and other photos I feel like he’s small for his age if that’s how old he really is.
He has a very good appetite and is very very active.
I uploaded a few photos. I’m gonna try and measure him as well. Last time I measure him he was defiantly over two feet.

That's about right. Generally, in one year, males can range 36-41" total length. I see his jowls are beginning to enlarge. He looks healthy and content.
