Is he okay?

I have a Chacoam Tegu who I've owned for a little over a year now. (I got him in August 2015 and now it is September 2016).
He is only 2 feet and 2 inches long now, is that normal? Is he growing slowly or am I doing something wrong? He is my very first tegu and I hope my baby is alright.

What do you feed him and how often? What size enclosure is he in? What type of lighting do you use? I got my Chacoan last September and he's is over 4ft long and girthy.

How old and big was he when you got him. At onee year should be bigger.
