Mom on feeding rodents

I've wanted a snake for years but my mom doesn't want a snake in her house, since she can't handle me feeding it pre killed frozen mice(love her but she's a nut job).

I even offered to put a mini freezer in my room and keep them in there so she'd never have to see them. But she's not going for it.

Guess I gotta wait for my own place to get a snake

Not all snakes are rodent eaters.. Garter snakes can be fed fish(slivers or whole minnows). Rough green snakes are another good alternative being largely insectivorous.

I think, it's just one of those things... insects and fish never pull at the heart strings...

But suggest feeding a kitten to a snake? **** hits the fan.
