Nutrients in fuzzys, pinkys, fish, and worms

I REALY want a colony of various garter snakes and my significant other doesn't let anything in the house that eats rodents. CCould I feed the Garter snakes worms and feeder fish their entire lives? I Heard that mice are more nutricious then fish and fish more nutricious then worms. I don't want the snakes if i can't take care of them the way they deserve. Help please!
