Offered food

How long should I leave offered food in the enclosure (my hatchling is too skittish to take out for feeding) if it is untouched. My hatchling has been going on a hunger strike because I want him to eat something other than dubia roaches.

Depending on the food, about 5 hrs.

Bugs are not a bad diet for small tegus. This is their main diet in wild anyways.
