Even though Colombians don't hibernate, almost all reptiles seem to slow down quite a bit when it gets cold. He also may be going through a growth spurt, which would cause him to sleep alot, or he may be about to shed.. Lots of animals will refuse food for a few days before a shed or moult.

Colombians brumate so it's that time of year to slow down. If they do,.. they'll eat less and sleep more, so you won't see them as often. But you'll still get to see them more often then tegus that do hibernate.
