Tegu breeders

Hi can any one list off a few reliable tegu breeders that I can get my first tegu from? I was considering getting one from Bobby Hill but from what I here its not a good idea to buy from him right now. Thanks for the help.

Bobby had a rough past year here but I would not hesitate to purchase a tegu from him again. His tegus are top quality. He has always been an upstanding guy in my book. If you know the real story you know his county made changes to their tap water which somehow affected his incubating eggs. He had a huge loss this year but according to Bobby business will be as usual for next season.

I have never had any issue contacting him. If I could not get him I would leave a message which he would respond to usually within a day or two at most.

The story about him losing eggs isn't the only problem, and if that is true it was beyond his control. The biggest problem is quite a few people here have deposits on reds and can't get any info. All it takes is a couple minutes to return a phone call to them or come on here and post what is going on with them.

There is also a member that ordered an Extreme and it seems they got a B&W. I'm pretty sure they have attempted to get a hold of Bobby and have had no luck.

Hey i've delt with bobby and his tegus are top notch,but now its the water that made his phone not return calls,or emails,also the water stopped him from posting something on this form but the water never stoped him from erasing post or locking a post lmao whatever.Or the water made a extreme tegu turn into a normal black and white he sent someone,but price didnt change from the water what BS SMFH!!!!!

I don't know what is going on, but I have had two great tegus from Bobby. He helped me over the phone when I had incubation issues and we have talked as friends. I hope everything works out OK for everyone involved. Taking and also sending deposits can be so risky and heartbreaking. I would buy from him again.

Wil is also a good guy with good stock. DaveDragon was breeding blues, but I think not this year. Those are my three top picks.

Bobby has always had the best customer service and been the goto guy for people who needed help with their tegus - he genuinely seems to care about the animals. It seems like he took a major hit this year and is still picking up the pieces. I'm hopeful that he'll clear everything up soon and I for one would not hesitate to buy a tegu from the man. If I were holding a deposit I would keep on holding it expecting to be first in line for 2012 babies.

ive never had an issue with bobby hes always been helpful even a year before i purchased my extreme. for the people with reds i cant blame them for their discontent. some would do business with underground where as i will never do business with them again
