I walked down to the basement to feed my breeder rats and found this little guy sitting on the half wall just above their cage, I guess trying to figure out how to get in. Lol hes not quite big enough to eat one but he must have loved the smell. I fed him one of my breeder mice and sent him on his way.

It was a pretty snake, young and nippy too. That's pretty much the most common snake found around here. I guess it's just a black rat snake, that's what I've always called them??
