My argentine red tegu Macklin has not been himself for days. He seems sluggish, tired, eyes barely open if not half open. Not as interested in eating as usual. He ate a bit of a pinkie mouse and only the yolk of an egg yesterday. I'm thawing some salmon now to see if he'll eat some more. I have seen him drink water. His enclosure is 96 degrees. He's between 6 to 7 months. He's mid shed right now. He has a humidity fogger on low. He's in 55 gallon terrarium on a coconut substrate. His humidity stays around 80 percent. He has a ceramic heating lamp, zoo med combo uvb lights, and a red basking light. He has a hide, a big fake plant to sleep under, a rock to bask on, and a log. I'm very worried. I've made 3 separate vet appointments. One on Thursday, but it isn't with a clinic that specializes in exotics or reptiles. And two appointments on the 1st with exotic specialist. I would die if anything happened to him. I just lost my bird today and cannot lose him. Could this be early brumation? Does he need more lights? More heat? Please help. I attached current pictures taken about 5 minutes ago. He just wants to lay and feels cold even after spending all day in his enclosure.
