Had this baby about two and a half month. Brought him home from a show, wouldnt eat pinkies like i was told he eats. Fell into the trap of ground turkey and egg. He was eating. Not comming out very often, thought he was still brumating. Then all of a sudden he started comming out daily. But...
Here is the water pooper in question. We r this guys third home... his name is knuckles. (He has no toes on any of his feet) Hes getting a little better with us handling him. Still not too fond of us. But hes getting better.
The monitor didnt get handled as much as he should have. So hes a bit nasty. We r trying to tame him down. Even if he was nice, i think id favor the tegu. They seem to just have amazing personalities. The only thing i like better about the monitor, is that he only poops in his water tub. Makes...
Hes going to be a beast! We also have a tokay gecko , a teranchula, a centepide, rescued golden tegu... who is doing better, a musk turtle, 3 dogs, a cat, sugar gliders and ferrets.
Thanks. This forum has been great so far. I am also a part of a monitor forum. But its horrible. People would rather be nasty and talk down to you than share knowledge. My husband has a 2 foot water monitor.
Here he is. Working on a name. Trying not to hold him 24/7 lol. Today i tried to feed fruit and ground turkey. He was not impressed. I got him at a reptile show. The guy i bought him from said he ate pinkies. We tried. But he wasnt interested. So far all he has eaten is egg whites.
Last night my husband and i took in a golden who was rescued by a friend. Our friend said he was mean. And they didnt want him. We were told he didnt have some toes. Not sure how this happened. But he has no toes! We have a 2 foot water monitor, who when bought, had a few missing toes. No big...
