'11 AA Female

With much difficulty, I am putting up my girl for sale. She is a '11 varnyard AA. When I initially received her, she had an arch in her upper spine and difficulty with her back legs. After a few weeks, she showed no visible signs or setbacks because of it.

She has been calm since day 1 and has never bitten. She is super inquisitive and never turns down a meal. She is fed raw turkey and liver, scrambled eggs with some dubias and fruit mixed in, raw eggs, rodents, you name it.

I've come to the point that I realize with graduation coming up and not being sure where I'll be in 6 months, I might have to part with her. She is due for a cage upgrade and I'm not sure if lugging an 8' cage around would work for me....along with finding housing that would allow it.

So with much regret, I will be taking offers for her. I was thinking around 200+shipping.

She would make a wonderful pet and she has been used as an education animal. She can also roam outside without darting or trying to escape with supervision.

Man Im sorry to hear that you have to let her go. Its always good to be proactive though.. This way you got time to feel out any buyers.. Awesome price by the way..

I can't bring myself to charge an awful lot, because of the issues she had when I acquired her, but I am going to be picky about who she goes to. This is the only tegu I've met that was tame and CALM as a hatchling. I didn't even have to work on taming....

But I think her growth rate and appetite, as well as her THICK tail can account for her health. But any prospective buyers must be aware of how her spine looked upon receiving her (hunchback). Completely fixed, gone, or unapparent now.

Hey John, did u ever take her in for an exam when u first got her to see if there was a problem with her spine and legs? Just curious if u found out if it was anything like MBD or such. Thanks in advance! She looks really good by the way. You've do e a great job raising her. Hope she finds a great home... If I can slide her by the old lady, maybe I can help u out. Lol!

No, she has not been examined. I treated her as if she had MBD and it seemed to correct itself very quickly.

I honestly trust my own instincts over the exotic animal vet in this area. He's great for small animals, but thats all I trust him with. Very hard to find a great reptile vet.
