Hello, our 1 year old red tegu has been constipated for about 2 weeks now. The last thing she ate was a hopper mouse two Mondays ago. Now we realize that’s what did it. We’ve been giving her warm baths every day and she try’s to go while in there. She shake and squeezes so hard but nothing but a small bit of urate every time.
We have been taking her to a vet who is trying to help but can only do so much I guess. We have tried syringes of pumpkin, olive oil, and pedia-lax. She is now so malnourished, because she won’t eat, that she is having terrible tremors and seizure like activity. We tried giving her syringes of blended blueberries and calcium just to get something in her today but that’s not super easy to do since she is pretty small still. Does anyone have any suggestions to help get her to have a bowel movement?
