Feeding mistake....

My tegu Bindi is in a 6 ft cage with a removable top. I made the mistake of dangling her mice over the top and letting her chase and grab them. Well now I can't put my hand in cause she is trying to take off my fingers. Totally my fault. Dumb move I realize now. Just wondering if any one has an idea of how long it may take for her to realize that she no longer gets mice that way and that it is just my hand and not a mouse. It has been a couple weeks already since I stopped and I only dangled the mice a few times. She was quick to get into the habit so I am hoping she will be quick to stop it.

I can try that, thank you for the idea. But she does fly though her cage mouth open at my fingers without sniffing. Still something to try.
