Hi there. So I'm finally getting my First tegu after wanting one for over a year. I've done loads of research on how to care for them but still have a few minor questions: how do you go about picking a healthy tegu at reptile shows or conventions? Are there specific signs of a healthy or unhealthy tegu hatchling? I'm going to the Sacramento reptile show and I'm a little nervous about picking a very healthy baby. Also I'll be getting him in late September so will it be going into hibernation fairly quickly after I get it? If so should I feed him or not when I bring him home? Any other advise will be fantastic thank you!
