Hybrid? How do I know?

Hi all!

Here in South Africa it is a bit harder to find tegus for sale,so when an acquaintance asked if I wanted to buy his I jumped at the chance. I will only be buying him at the end of the month.
The tegu is a male argentine red and about 80cm long. He did send me 2 photos of the tegu,in the photos he does not seem very red,I asked the owner if he was perhaps a hybrid,he had no idea.
Back to my question,how do I know if a tegu is a hybrid?

Its hard to tell if hes a hybrid or not. Take some pics and we can do our best to help you out.
