Just got my first Tegu today!

Hello! My name is Joe, I live in Fort Lauderdale, FL and I just acquired an Argentine black and white male from Snakes at Sunset in South Miami. He is about a foot long and he still has a bit of green color on his skin. Very good boy! It's his first night and he likes to stay on my shoulder. I did my research before getting him but now that he's here, I would like to learn more so I could raise him properly

Congratulations on your tegu! I got my boy from them as well and he's doing great! At that size he'll be shedding a lot so make sure his humidity is high enough. Don't forget to share lots of pictures!

I got just got new housing for him, I know it's small and he'll quickly outgrow it but I plan to make a custom enclosure and put it in the garage where it's nice and humid all the time. (I live in South Florida). Here are some pictures taken on his third day with us
