Ok, so I've been doing woodburning for a while and have delved into the miniature woodburning arena. It's not easy burning a reptile onto a 3 inch piece of wood....but I did it :)

These are for sale in my shop at :

Please, feel free to click around in my shop at my other listings and share.

Very original and cool! You don't see too many reptile related holiday items out there. You are very talented.

I'm not too big on Christmas decorations, but I would definitely buy something a little larger that could be put on a shelf or mantel. Or maybe something that could hang on the wall? Just thinking out loud.....:)

Hi ! Sorry I did not see this (I've been on vacation)....I can do them on custom order. I do not have any in stock because there are so many different types of animals I'd never get them all made!

If you're interested in getting one custom done, please visit my store and click on the custom ornament link and order thru there. Here you go:

Just an FYI, I will be facing a price increase later this month as my listings expire (not breaking even right now). Right now I'm charging $15 plus $5.00 shipping. That'll go up about $5.00 when I re-list.

Buy now and save $ :)

I love woodburning! It's a favorite hobby of mine as well. What kind of burner are you using?

Your little tegu ornament is adorable! <3

Right now I'm using the cheapie versa tools with specialty tips. I am HOPING that my business picks up so I can afford the pro series. They're starting at like $200.

I have higher end stuff that's taken me lots longer, but they'll never sell on etsy and need to be showcased in a specialty shop.

LOL thanks, those were the first few herp ornaments I did. It's hard to burn that small. (that piece is about 3 inches).

If your looking for something higher end, I would very much recommend a Detail Master III. You can likely find a used one for 100 bucks or less. Buy a really nice pen for it for like 40$ and your set. If you upgrade to a burmaster later, the same pens will work.

Is love to see some of your showcase pieces. Do you have pics?

Logie,

I will try to get some of them this weekend. I have most of them in the upstairs of my garage.

I was actually thinking of going with Razertip because they have "regular use" and "specialty use" pens. And because they have the best over all rating among the burners. Unfortunately....they cost a good bit.

But I'm gonna google the pen you mentioned! :-D

This is what I'm talking about....pretty well rated starter kit.

That looks like a great kit. If you're like me, you May find yourself never using more than one or two pens tho. I use a tip like this- http://m.woodcraft.com/product/2000812/3861/fixed-tip-handpiece-5a.aspx for like 90% of all my burning. It does everything. And with the pens costing so much a piece why pay extra for a bunch you'll never use.

Awesome, I will look into that. Right now I use about 3 pens because they take so long to heat up and cool. that's the drawback with the walnut hollow pens. I would love to see some of your work!

Here are a few things I've done. I usually color them after I've burned a design. But I have a few just natural pieces.

The wolf is ooooold. One of the first things I burnt on. You're totally inspiring me to work on some pieces tho. Can't wait to see some of your big stuff, you're really talented with the little ones! Just wait till you get to try a nice burner. Heats up and cools down in seconds! :)

Friend me if you're on there!
