Ok well I am selling my black and white tegu even though I really dont want to. But with work, the gym, and wanting to build my car more, and probably going to school in the fall I just dont have the time or money to dedicate to him anymore. Well his name is rex he is between 36-40 inches he is a male he is very healthy no missing tail or toes. He is 11 months old, he is tame but he has a foot fetish and will taste anything that smells good to him. Well I am asking $200+shipping to a good home and I will put some recent pics up tonight or tommorow. Thanks. Also I am located in rochester,NY zip 14612 if you wanted to get a shipping quote.

Thanks guys I sure hope he finds a good home. As far as selling the enclosure I have thought about it but I have alot of money into it and I dont know anyone who would really want to spend so much on an enclosure because there is about $450-$500 just in materials and I have a pro products radiant heat panel running on a thermostat which is another $350 and it would come with both dome lamps and the 3' fluorescent strip in it. plus labor to put it together I would probably have to ask $900 And then I have about $110 dollars of wood peices one really nice grapevine peice and two driftwood peices about $30 in fake plants and $20 in basking rocks I would probably let all that go with the cage for $975. But I dont know of anyone that wants to spend that kind of cash so I figured I would hold onto it for a few years until my brother breeds his sunglow boa's unless someone really wanted it.

Is he food aggressive or has he been taught to eat in a separate enclosure. What exactly do you mean when you say a foot fetish? And when you say he tastes things that taste good... does that mean he bites if something smells good to him? Thanks for the info :).

He has always eaten out of his enclosure I put his food on the floor and he comes out to eat. His foot fetish is something he has had since he was young I usually like to put socks on before I let him roam
because if he gets by your feet and starts flicking with his tongue he will try to nibble on them not really try to aggressively bite them it's like he knows better because when he does it I just pull my foot away and say no and he just walks away. He has also always like to take ankle socks and play with them shaking them like a dog and running back to his enclosure with them so he could play with them he has also done this since he was young so it is just part of his personality maybe until he grows out of it. Also on the same basis as the feet if he is roaming and something smells good to him he will not aggressively attack it but just try to taste it I have seen him do this with (rocks <---- have to watch him for that, and dresser feet) He is tame I can pick him up even though he would rather stay on the ground because he doesnt like heights , I can pet him and handle him. So he is tame but not puppy dog tame yet I havent gotten bitten in about 5 or 6 months and when I did I was pressing him to much and he was going through his puberty phase in total he has only bitten me 2 or 3 times and that was when he was younger he has made alot of progress since then and I can tell that he now knows I am not a threat. So to sum it all up He is not tame like a puppy dog but he is by no means aggressive he is I guess you could say a tegu :).

Hey why not try to do a reasonable combo package deal with Rex and the enclosure maybe someone might be interested in that just my opinion and trying to help.

Yea I think that might take longer to work a deal out because the price would go way up and shipping the enclosure would be almost impossible and I would be limited to people in my area. But thanks for the help.

No problem I'm always willing to help. But it wouldn't hurt to put up a price since you never know, there are a lot of people who are only a drive away from where you are and even around my area there's always people looking for both a tegu and an enclosure.
