How well do your tegus shed? I helped mine get the shed off her feet before she went to bed. The last remaining shed is of her tail but it seems like it comes off in little pieces. Is this normal? How long will it take for it to come off? Anything i should do to help?

i believe its normal: my tegu nerohas always shed in three folds first her head then her body and a few days later her tail! most of the time the first two sheds are in the same day.

Last summer when my female B&W was in the middle of an insane growth spurt (that lasted all summer :p) she seemed to shed in full in 1~2 days...

This winter while she's eating less, sleeping more and not growing very much at all, it takes her a bit longer to shed. Also the tip of her tail and toes often hang on to dead skin for a few days longer than anything else.

I've been conscious to ensure her enclosure is moist and I give her a good long soak at least once a week.
