So I will be purchasing a tegu later on this year, been waiting a long time very excited but I'm having difficulty on deciding which type. I was leaning towards a chacon for a while but now I'm seriously considering getting a blue. I love their coloration and I know how large they get and how to care for them but there's two things I don't know and would like to. 1) Do they hibernate like most tegus, I've heard mixed things on this. 2) What is their day to day behavior like? I've heard they can be more active and a bit skittish but also heard they tame quickly so kinda looking for a definite answer. Please let me know if you have any kind of information on these subjects. Thank you!
