Fish oil has frequently been lauded as a great thing to give your tegus, both as a rich source of vitamin D3 and for other health benefits (skin, gut motility). Most of us, including myself, have purchased and used this resource without fully thinking where it may be coming from. We may wish to change our habits, I'd say this article definitely gives support for the argument that we should really be ensuring our pets get good exposure to UVB instead of going for cheap alternatives.

I've never offered fish oil lol. I always offer a whole pry diet first and then fish like tilapia, smelt, sardines ect ect

Yea, luckily I have employment where more often in not each trip out working I come back with tens of pounds of fish for free.. haha She gets spoiled with a variety of fish.

Thanks for posting this. More individuals should be aware of what happens behind the scenes. It's truly upsetting that this crap has to go on, I've had the wonderful opportunity of swimming with these majestic sharks in the Gulf 2 years back.
