My fiance Ashley who frequesnt this board as well, asked the BH Society for a copy of the Mercolli and Yanovsky article and surprisingly they sent the 1994 article. Can I send it to a moderator to post up somewhere so that it can be downloaded easily? That said anyone knoe where can get...

Its actually a lot easier that he does it on the tile bathroom floor. We keep a bottle of cage clean and paper towels handy. We then throw the poo in a covered garbage bin in the animal room so it reduces the smell.

So our Blue Tegu Lucky hates going potty in his cage. He likes to be let out so that he can go potty in the bathroom where every self respecting Tegu goes potty.
Enjoy the video!
He has a great shop, we were down in Boca and visited, ended up ordering a white sided rat snake from him. Super healthy snake. Last year he was really pushing the vietnamese (thailand) blue beauties. I think the breeders, sellers always know what's about to be hot as a year later we saw that...
I have a blue in a 7 foot boamaster cage. He doesn't use the whole enclosure. He could do with a 5 foot cage fine. He's only about 12-14lbs though, not nearly as big as the black and whites.
Are their reputations true, when you say a bit nippy can you describe a bit nippy more? I.E. I have a King Rat Snake that I'm trying to tame down and depending on the time or day or his mood, he will try to bite me in the face 30% of the times we try to handle him. He's probably less than a year...
They're the craziest animals and intelligent! I don't know if any other Tegu does this. But sometimes when he gets bored he will jump up on our bed using his tail to push off and his claws to climb. Once he gets up on our bed, he will begin to chill out and stare at us.
If he catches us...

I would say get a vision cage they are easiest to keep. And I'm going to go against the grain and say get him a 6 foot cage. Ours has a giant boamaster cage 7 feet and he doesnt' even use all the room. Plus the only time that we have the cage closed is if its really cold and we need to keep in...
Reviving an old post... Was at a show this past weekend gorgeous beadeds are going for about 550 if you have the cash these days. They were asking 700 though. Also we were on a herp photog trip in the saguaro national park in AZ and by some stroke of luck we filmed a Gila monster out and...
So let's just for a moment say you are not a malicious person and a great reptile keeper!
Lots of folks keep them and they are hardy but make sure you get the right type as they come in all sorts of colors and patterns. In other words read three a bunch of care sheets. Most of them aren't very...
We're kinda bad, we have a habit of naming our animals by what they are like our tegu is teegie, our cuban rock is iggue, our chinchilla is Mr. Chinchilla, you get the picture..lol.
