    Tegu Enclosure

As big as you can offer. 8x4 foot print would be minimum for an adult. Height seems optional. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

    10ft X 4ft X 4ft build

An fx4 is for a fish tank... with fish in it... A canister filter could work for you but trust me it will require a lot of maintenance to keep it clean. I know how much an adult iguana poops. Almost as much as a tegu. If water quality is your main goal then a canister just wont do. For a...

    10ft X 4ft X 4ft build

What is the 50 gal aquarium inside the enclosure used for? Creating a filter with minimal maintenance is fairly simple if you are able to dedicate some space. A sump system with a constant "drip" and overflow make a permanent fix for ever doing a water change again. The only way to keep the...

    Put it to a vote??

I went a different route... I had a spare room that was empty so I used it to let my Tegu just roam around and explore. He would just walk around avoiding me sitting on the floor and he eventually walked up to me and then climbed onto my head... It was love from then on...

    Planning enclosure

No treated wood needed. Plywood is fine. Use an outdoor semi or gloss paint and put 3 to 5 coats for water proof wood. Mistking will work just fine for you. I have 1 six inch vent with 600cfm fan that only turns on 3 times in 24 hours just to exchange the air. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

8x4 is minimum imo... look in the diy section. I have a 10x4x4 build thread with materials used as do many others. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

    Planning enclosure

Front opening is the best when dealing with large enclosures. You could do multi level. I did for a basking spot up higher. They will most likely destroy plants. Mine certainly does almost immediately. Gotta have a hide or 2 for sure. Tegus LOVE water.. My guy has his own pond and around 10 koi...

    Underground Reptiles Size Recommendations

I think that is way too small for any Tegu. Might do fine in it for 6-8 months but it will be 30 inches in a year.

That looks pretty nice... May switch up to that system. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
