Dozer 3 years old and still hand feeding

Sorry it's been so long, been kinda distracted with my car. Here's a little update video on Dozer, my 3 year old Extreme Giant (teddy bear).

    Dozer: 2 years

I've had Dozer now for 2 years and he's just over 2 years old, I'm still hand feeding and I just updated his enclosure. I'm still working on ideas for enrichment items for his room. As long as you spend time with them and take care of them properly Giants are awesome pets.

Need help taming my chacoan tegu

I still hand feed my 2 year old Chacoan Whitehead. I sit on the floor with him for at least an hour a day. It's good for both of us.

Dozer after almost 2 years needs more room

Spring is here and I cleaned out Dozers enclosure and gave him a lot more room to stretch out since he's almost 2 years old now, by moving his hide to the far corner. Needless to say, he's a bit grumpy.

Need help taming my chacoan tegu

It takes time, I work with my giant Dozer everyday. Dozer was only 3 months old when I got him and was very skiddish for a few months but I worked up to hand feeding and handling everyday, and now almost 2 years later Dozer is very tame, very big (almost 5' 6" and nearing 19lbs, and I'm still...

    A little Dozer update

Tried cat food, he stared at it for 2 hours but that's it. He's eating crickets and roaches. Quick question on Dozer, the skin on his tail seems to be cutting into him, we've soaked him and have been getting most of it off, or as much as he let's us in 20 minutes, my question is , can...

    A little Dozer update

Thanks, I gave him some today with his turkey. I also picked up a large container that I can put in his enclosure and fill with water so he can soak on his own. The reason I ask about the Savannah is because he's pretty thin, he'll eat crickets and roaches but can't get him to eat mice. Here's...

    A little Dozer update

Not really, I was still balancing his diet with whole prey twice a week, and then turkey and fruit the other 2 days. He hasn't had any constipation problems and has been active. On a side note, do you know anything about Savannah Monitors? We inherited one from someone who thought they were...

    A little Dozer update

Thank you. The shedding problem I think started partially because of the feeding change. He had just started shedding at the time, so possibly because he stopped growing during that time?

    A little Dozer update

Dozer has been doing well, although he's still adjusting to his diet. He has had a hard time shedding this time. Here's a short video of bathtime, you can see how well he's doing and how chill he still is.

    Is Dozer obese?

Thanks you for all the info. What's in his room now is just a start, I'm working on his flooring next (TruGrass) , which I hope to be getting shortly after Christmas and have plans to do some of the things you've talked about, I just kinda blew through my budget when I hit a major ceiling...
