There is a general belief that the Columbians are hard (or harder) to tame. I don't agree with that at all though. I have a feeling that a lot of people who say "Columbians are hard to tame" have never really worked with them. Yes, I have heard people say that they had really aggressive ones...
Look up springtails... sometimes they show up in the substrate. They are harmless - although I would still try to get rid of them in case they could possibly annoy or stress out your tegu for some reason (?)
