    Jumping

I don't know how old you Tegu is but my Mino is six weeks now. He likes to jump. Not sure if it's because he's still young or what but he also seems to enjoy climbing the walls when we have our daily alone time in the spare room.

    Sub straight?

Ok. Thank you very much. I've got the coconut fibers. I use that with my Balls. They like it and I love it but that can get VERY expensive when you need a foot of the stuff in a 6x4 cage.

any opinions on using large sterilite type containers as Colombian housing? Pros/Cons?

Not sure why you got the lil guy before you got it a good temp home BUT sometimes that can happen for one reason or another. From what I can see that will work in a pinch. If the Tegu seems happy and is eating, has hides and acts active the tub looks ok for maybe a week tops. You do need to get...

    Sub straight?

I've been reading all over this site about using potting soil/play sand for bedding in Tegu homes, but I can't find what KIND to use. The sand isn't to hard to figure out. So what KIND of potting soil should I buy? There are a butt load out there....

    Need tips for holding Tegu

I have a b&w Columbian. What I'm wondering is if it is normal for them to jump? I take him every day hold him close against my chest for a few minutes or until he decides that's he's awake then take him to his feeding tub. He is about 6 weeks old so he is still small. I am a tall woman so I move...

    Silly Tegu??

Was playing around a little bit this morning when feeding my Tegu. He wasn't into his ground turkey much this morning so I didn't try to force him. We like to go Sun bath for a while after breakfast each day and I had blue berries. He had one or two but he seemed a lot happier Sun bathing on them.

    Hello all! I'm very new!!

I just got a black and white Columbian Tegu that was aged at a month old last Thursday. He is SMALL! I named him "Mino". Short for mini dino. He is doing very well. Eating everyday and is very sweet tempered! But can be a lil jumpy. As he is still a baby I completely understand. So far I believe...
