    Savannah monitor hatchling advice please

Handle all the time if you want a friendly lizard. Be prepared for a giant enclosure. Make sure temps are good so it doesnt get gut rot. You will read a lot about them being dog tame. Their not. Savys can be a little grumpy. Not bad just grumpy. If were to compare temperment with a mammel it...

Most rewarding monitor to keep as a pet?

Lions can be friendly if you know what you are doing..... (advanced monitors) ...house cats can be very much so in-between and go either way (in my personal experience that would be your savannahs) then there is the Irish forest cat, no t domestic but arguably would have made a better companion...

Most rewarding monitor to keep as a pet?

Savannah monitors...my heart throbs with them...so magesticly badger like. They reminde me a lot of cats mixed with badgers. In fact first in formost I would like to make a statement. Building a cave

I hate to be that guy. But a cage with active biosystems like isopods and springtails really only need cosmetic cleanings (glass) they eat poop and mold. So yea and lemon juice spray disinfects and a tegu can eat off ground sprayed with it. So yea you could keep it still...just sayin :) ;)

Most rewarding monitor to keep as a pet?

Savannah monitors and tegus in my opinion behave identically. Than again all my lizards are the opposite of aggressive. Irish luck.
