    Hurray For Chicken Necks!

Actually, Tora is correct. This is a common mistake for people to make and is why many dogs are in the vets office because of feeding them cooked meat with bones.

Whole prey for tegus - how much?

Impaction is more of a hydration problem than whole prey problems.

Introducing a Male Tegu - What Considerations?

I don't know about anyone else but I don't over think the introduction portion of tegus. I haven't ever had a problem with introduction, whether in her enclosure or his. I just put them together and let them sort out their differences, usually their is no sorting, just inspection, a little...

    Cypress Mulch in Northwest...

I live over in the Tri Cities and have never found it over here. I just use a hide box which gives them the mositure. It's easier this way, IMO.

question bout building a indoor enclosure

The cheapest way is to find the materials for free. Go by construction sites and see if they will let you pick through their scrap pile. The more you haul away they less they have to. You probably could get 80% of your material this way. I would also check craigslist for material, you would...

    Outside heating source choices?

If I use anything for night heat in the spring its a red bulb. This way I can visually check to see if it is on or not. I only use it in the outdoor boxes I have made for yearling and two year old tegus, not much insulation.

best place to find aluminum channel

I would go to a window/glass/door company. Easy. You could also look on Craigslist or in the news paper for old display cases (sometimes found on the back side of strip malls) and take the rail out of one.

Extreme Giant enclosures...what should I keep my giant in...

The first year for my baby tegus I keep them in a terrarium inside and during the day in an outside cage (18" x 30"). I don't leave them outside over night just because I like the idea of handling them twice a day when they are young. The second year when they wake up they follow the same...

    Refreezing Meats?

If I have any mouse/rat left and I can't find someone to eat it I put it in the fridge and feed it a couple of days later. Never had a problem with this although I always let my rats/mice thaw at room temperature.

    Gigantic Enough?

Just depends on where you get it. The plastic ones at Wal Mart or Fred Myer are around $30. You don't have to worry about heating it up, it's used for over night sleeping and hibernation. Both of which can either sit in the house in your closet or in some other out of the way place. Tegus...

    Gigantic Enough?

This is a foot locker. I get them many different places, Fred Myer, Wal-Mart, Army Surplus store.... Doesn't have to be anything special, just soemthing to do the job of housing him while he sleeps.
