    handling baby tegu question

When you first get a hatchling tegu how should you handle handing him :D (that was supposed to be a joke, but i laughed at myself, not it.) Should you let him get used to you alot before handleing them i mean how often can you handle them without stressing them out?

With an aoutomatic mister and half the top covered i am sure it will be humid enough, i am using that stuff in a brick that expands in water and that suposedly raises humidity. And i have a moist hide. [hr] And I actually was going to get a 40 gal. breeder but i wanted the poor guy to have more...

    Argentine Vs Columbian Tegu

I am going with the screen enclosure for money reasons. A 100 gallon is i think 60-70 bucks on Josh's Frogs.com. I was going to ask, should i cover parts of the screen to keep moisture in? i saw on youtube some guy taped over the sides and half the top to keep in humidity. Is that a good idea...

I am going to have an automatic mister and heat lamps, basking spot lamps, and uvb. my closet isnt quite a walk in closet but it is a large closet. that was what i was wondering about, keeping the humidity up in the closet.

    Housing multiple tegus together

I know that generally it is a bad idea, but how big would an enclosure need to be to house two tegus? And they would have to be both females, correct? Or could I house a male and a female? Thanks

    Argentine Vs Columbian Tegu

Yeah lots of animals sold these days don't make apropriate pets for most people who see it and want it and don't even know what it is or how to care for it. It's a shame.

    couple quick questions

In a way I agree with you. Im not saying you can keep them in a glass fish tank I'm saying if they arent even in their cages 3/4ths of the time, you don't exactly need an 8 foot long enclosure. I agree when you said u still need an appropriate sized enclosure, but you can have a SLIGHTLY smaller...
