That is a sign of too much protein in his diet. Lower jaw sometimes look’s misaligned only because of too much protein so offer more fruits and vegs it will go back to normal once the protein is decreased in his diet

It has always been MY observation that TEGUS are the ONLY species of lizards that seem to prefer being around people o around other tegus. They do NOT enjoybeing alone at all. They are very intelligent, social animals and they absolutely DO prefer to be around people and around other tegus for sure
I wonder the SAME THING about MY OWN tegus. I am not sure HOW the entire brumation thing works. WHAT causes them to bromate? Is it TEMPERATURE or is it just INSTINCT? Tegus who are kept INDOORS with lots of heat, will THEY still brumate. Is is NECESSARY to brumate? Is it bad to wake them up...
