hey guys,

I was checking my tegu-cage today, and I accidentally woke my tegu. Hes been down since the beginning of august.

I guess it is up to him if hes going back to sleep, but I still have some questions.

How many days of activity before I can be sure hes up for real and I can raise the temps and begin feeding him.

Will this be harmful to him?

Personally, I would not consider this him waking up for the season. I would treat this like a temperary break from his hibernation. Thus keeping him on reduced heat and reduced hours of daylight.

Having said that, I do not feel you will be harming your Tegu is you offer him heat and longer days. The only "risk" I believe this will be making is the possibility of his winter/summer cycle being a bit off...
