advice for harness training

My columbian black and white is about 4 months old (named Audrey, although i'm not sure of the sex) and tried a harness for the first time today. It did not go well to day the least. She bit it multiple times and did a pit pull kind of shake combined with a crocodile roll to get out of it before I was able to tighten it. She then proceed to bite at everything around her including my pants for several minutes. I tried again and barely got it over her neck before she repeated the behavior. At which point I decided we were done for the day and let her take a nap while I held and pet her to calm her down. This is very unlike her as she has never showed any agression or tried to bite before today. I pet her daily and get her out at least once a week to hold her and let her roam around a bit. I'd like to get her comfert able with the harness so she can roam with out me worrying about her getting lost and eventually take trips outdoors. I'm realizing it will take some patients and effort to get her there. I'm just wondering if anyone with experience has any specific advice on the best way to do it. Should I keep working with her every day? Or give her a break between sessions, how long of a break? Maybe I should put the harness in her enclosure for a bit and let her just get used to it before try putting it on her again?
Follows is a pic of her with the harness (just because she's adorable and I ) like showing her off)
Thanks in advance

lol... Boy does this bring back memories... I bought a harness for my Green Iguana back in my early 20's... It went horribly wrong kinda like yours did. My buddy wouldn't let me go near him for about a week after that 1 and only failed attempt... I remember being so mad at myself thinking he was never going to trust me again... lol... As far as advise goes... Mine is don't do it...

Actually now looking at your picture Id say go with the harness that clips on. My dog has one that clips around him so you don't have to slide it over his head. Not sure if they make them small enough for a lizard though.
