Anyone hibernate their Blues?

I only do if he wants to. I keep the lights on and water out for him, but if he is sleeping alot I turn off the extra heat.

Best to just let the tegu make the choice.

I got a red/blue in September. I was told he brumated his first 2 years. He hasn't gone down this year with me.

Mine are in hibernate/brumate now and have been for the past 6-8 weeks. One is down for the count, other wakes up periodically.

My blue he is 2 1/2 but small i rescued him. but he sleeps on cool days and wakes up and eats ,drinks ,craps then back to bed on good worm nice days.

Sobek isn't in hibernation, he was for about a solid month and then he woke up. Now he sleeps most of the day but wakes up around 5pm and stays up till around 8 or 9.
