Thanks you he looks like he is in shed I have been soaking him. He is shy .He does not really love to get picked up he will cautiously let me rub under his neck. I hung out with him in the bathroom and he would approach me keeping his eyes on me then crawl overmy leg or go behind my back. He does not huff or bite at all but is hand shy if you go to touch his head. He was not handled alot but yesterday I opened the door and he came out and crawled by me so we are making good progress for two days. The guy also hand fed him so he is not aggressive this way although I am not going to try that. He likes to roam around the family room and does scratch at the door to come out.
I've handled reds that were much more of a handful than what you are describing. I would consider him generally quite tame for what you described. Have fun bonding and congratulations on a fine looking red!
Yeah he's mellow mylittle dogs trail after him and he ignores them he is quite a bit bigger than my 3 pound chihuahua and my mini doxies he comes up and greets them at the door. I am defnitely excited to get to know him.
Thanks everyone. I fried my portal for my memory card from my camera. I went to my parents to download these. I will take pics of his enclosure and post them soon. It is 7.5x3.5x3.5 drylocked. I have to large fieldstone hides on both sides form him I built for him. Top sol and hemlock on one side just hemlock on the others. I am still going to be figuring out how to put some plant from the ceiling and walls that maybe he won't be able to trample. I think he loves al the new space when I picked him up he was not in a big enclosure.
