Can a tegu eat to much?

My baby male extreme just ate double the amount of turkey he usually eats. 2 tablespoons maybe. He looks uncomfortable filled. Do they know when to stop eating? He is in shed right now, his 3rd shed i believe.

Before I decided to buy a tegu I watched all the videos I could find and researched all of varnyards stuff I could. Let em eat!

LOL yeah I always let them eat until they are full. Its funny to see their big pot-bellies sometimes. If hes shedding, hes growing which means he should be eating more. Crazy how much they shed, huh?!

Obesity is a concern in adults... but with hatchlings and yearlings, I do not believe they can possibly eat too much. As a youngster mine amazed me many times with the volume he ate. Naturally he was lazy immediately after such a meal, but within hours it digested enough for him to be right back to normal...

wait until your hatchlings become yearlings... I don't think mine stopped shedding for his entire second summer...
