I had problem with the cat my kids brought home messing with my Gu's some years back. i was scared the Gu's were gonna kill the cat or the other way around.(cats are incredible hunters). So i came up with my own solution to remedy this . I put a drop of clove oil behind the shoulder blades of the gu's and the cat stayed the heck away from them .It might not be for everyone .But, that combined with the spray bottle should do the double whammy to keep the cat away .
