cod liver oil?

im getting my 2010 female giant from bobby today and i was wondering how much and how often do i give her cod liver oil?

The cod liver oil should be mixed with your Tegus feed ... Some is good but more is better . Its full of good vitamins and the oil its self helps with good sheds ...I mix mine with the turkey and the liver and feed every time except when he gets his mouse .. Remember to dust everything with calcium powder too ...

so feed it to her everytime i feed her except when she gets live food? can i give her to much oil and hurt her?

Yes it would be possible to give too much tho I doubt that it would kill your tegu .. You would almost have to try tho .. Try like a tablespoon to a pound of meat .. Two or three would be ok too .. Chances are your tegu won`t eat it if there was too much .. Get the unflavored kind and make sure your Tegu gets some .. If you notice poor sheds or problems with constipation then bump it up a bit

does it have to be unflavored i just noticed mine is orange flavored?

I would use it .. Next time buy unflavored.. Better yet take it back if you can ..

i will take itr when i go to work and see if i can find unflavored if not i will use it. you never know maybe she will like the orange flavor.
